MLO 5: Cultural Praxis
I have the great opportunity to study abroad for a full academic year in Granada, Spain. Through this experience, I learned that, even though I was a Spanish native speaker, language is such a rich tradition that changes over the time, depending on the region, and culture. I had to adapt my ear to a new tones, intonation, semantics, idioms, and way of expressing day by day activities.
It was interesting to notice how the different cultures, Cuban and Spanish, could be. It was fascinating for me to notice that wide spectrum of way to expression and using the language.
