MLO 4 Secondary Cultural Knowledge
The focus of this MLO is to demonstrate a general knowledge of a social-cultural group other than Hispanic one or mainstream American culture. The idea is that, in order to fulfill this MLO, the student should develop a basic understanding of the beliefs, moral values, and traditions, patterns of social interactions, and history, art, literature of the second culture.
While I was in studying abroad in Granada, Spain, one of the classes available was one about Muslim heritage in the Iberian Peninsula. In class, we learned about the history, culture, some aspect of language, art, and customs of moors in Spain.
