MLO 1
MLO 1 consists of language proficiency, I am fluent in Spanish, and have spoken Spanish my whole life. Indeed, I speak Spanish all the time in my house, with friends at school and with all my relatives. When I was in high school I took a couple of course that helped learned more in Spanish. Completing all the core requirements I have been able to meet the major learning outcomes. I fulfill the outcome speaking; by communicating successfully with my professor in Spanish along with classmates. I also did presentations in Spanish. I also facilitate group discussion in my classroom, where I gain experience in being able to speak well in public. I fulfill this MLO also by writing a lot of compositions in all of my classes that I have taken in Spanish. I gain experience writing paragraphs in length on familiar topics. In Span 304; it was introduction to Hispanic literature. In this class I gain experience in reading paragraphs in length. I was able to read and understand the main ideas of the lecture. I met the MLO reading ability through this class, I read literarure such as Don Quixote de la Mancha, La Celestina, El Burlador de Sevilla, Tirso de Molina etc., and wrote an essay where I show my ability of understanding the literature by writing an essay of an especific peice of lietrarute I read. I did By being able to read in a proficiency level in Spanish and understanding the reading I was able to successfully complete with the MLO outcome. I also fulfill writing ability through writing many compositions in most of my classes. In span 306, I was able to write in Spanish and read in a proficiency level because the exams where written in Spanish and I wrote in Spanish my responses to exam questions. The class was taught in spanish, the literature was in spanish, and all the work was written in spanish. I show my abilities of of reading, writing, and listening in my exam.Span 303, linguistics, and in this class I gain experience in writing better, learning my Spanish grammar. I practice my knowledge through exercises we completed in class, also by working in groups and discussing the rules of Spanish grammar. Here is an example of my work. Moreover, been able to read help the lecture I learned how to write, and learn new words. I took a culture course where I learned from a different culture and civilization. It was an interesting class because I am fluent in Spanish but I learned a lot of Spanish grammar. I met the listening ability requirement because I took a lot of Spanish courses and I was able to understand my professor lecture taught in Spanish and I always got high score on the exams. Through all this course I broader my capacity to read, write, listen, and speak in an advance level in Spanish proficiency.
