The Educational Maintenance of Our Hispanic Langauge and Culture in California
English Abstract
The purpose of this investigative work is to demonstrate the importance and advantages of learning about our cultural heritage. Learning our Spanish language and Hispanic culture from an early age provides us with a strong foundation that pushes us, and awakens our interest to continue learning about our heritage. A heritage that provides us in the formation of values that helps us develop into the humans with qualities and values. The educational development and maintenance of our fascinating heritage allows us to form an ethnical and cultural identity. At the same time it habilitates us to connect with our community and especially our family. Acquiring our native language gives us the opportunity to learn more then one language, which gives us the prospect to a greater educational and professional success. In our state of California, Spanish, is a growing language. This just becomes another important reason to develop our native language and culture.
Spanish Abstract
El propósito de este trabajo investigativo es demostrar la importancia y las ventajas de aprender acerca de nuestro patrimonio cultural. Continuar con el aprendizaje de nuestro idioma, el español, y cultura hispana en los Estados Unidos, nos da una base que nos motiva e impulsa a seguir aprendiendo sobre nuestra herencia. Una cultura hispana que nos ayuda a fomentar nuestra base de valores. Valores que nos ayudan a formarnos como personas, y nos habilita a conectarnos con las personas que nos rodean especialmente nuestra familia. El continuar con la riqueza educativa de nuestro origen hispanoamericano nos presenta la habilidad de formar una identidad cultural e étnica. Asimismo nos da la oportunidad de expandir nuestra educación y brindarlos mayores oportunidades. Esto especialmente cierto en el estado de California, donde el español es un idioma que cada día crece mas dentro de nuestras comunidades.
