MLO 6 Information Technology Information
In order to fulfill the MLO 6 Information Technology I will list the different ways I used technology in all the courses I took to complete my Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish. Technology now days has given student a great advantage in education, here are some ways I used technology: Electronic research, i-learn, my-csumb, power point, the use of study forums and group studies through the web. One of the resources I found helpful was the library all the resources on the web. Through the different classes I used the power point presentation, writing essays which include work cited, used I-learn program to upload and download homework, studying groups online, my-csumb email to communicate with Staff and students, the use of picture and sounds, record interviews, search and differentiate for scholarly work.
Technology is a key element in education; it provides endless information and accessibility from anywhere in the world. During the extensive research for my capstone I was able to find the resources I needed from the web. The library at csumb has a wide selection of materials on the web including a service called interlibrary loans. It a systems that allows students to request documents from other universities. Through my work I demonstrate that I can use sources and cite sources appropriately. Another way I used technology was during a linguistic class I interview an Anglo Spanish Speaking to find variations in pronunciation. Recorded the interview and uploaded the interview to a program to be able to identify sound variations find in Anglo speaker when speaking Spanish. With the use of technology I was able to locate the variations in sound.
Another way where I have being able to use technology is in the creation of an e-portfolio This year students are required to create an e-portfolio which includes all of our cumulative work from the two years in the Bachelor’s degree. At the capstone festival I will give a power point presentation in which I have incorporated all my research. As we move in fast speed to a technology base education system is important to keep my integrity in my work. During the completing of all my classes and my final work, capstone I cited properly the use of my sources. My capstone presentation, with the help of our technology department will be recorded to be uploaded in the university web page. I believe the integration of technology in the World Language and Cultures give me the opportunity to be forefront in technology base era.
